Exploring connections between LDA and Fellowship (FHEA and SFHEA)
Duration1 Hour
Team Professional Development
The Lord Dearing Awards (LDA) and Fellowships are both important forms of professional recognition. The LDA celebrates the contribution made by a wide range of university staff who have enhanced the student learning experience. Whereas fellowships demonstrate a commitment to professionalism and provide recognition of practice, impact and leadership in teaching and learning based on engagement with the Professional Standards Framework (PSF).
Often there are strong parallels in the evidence required for an LDA submission and Fellow (FHEA) / Senior Fellow (SFHEA) application. This session will explore how you use aspects of your LDA submission in an application for FHEA or SFHEA. At UoN the Nottingham Recognition Scheme (NRS) is the internal scheme to apply for FHEA and SFHEA.
The session is open to colleagues on all campuses who have been nominated for an LDA since 2021/2022.
Session objectives:
Review NRS at UoN
Explain the Professional Standards Framework
Discuss how to evidence D2/D3 using your LDA submission
